Requirements
We accept submissions that are completed features, documentaries and shorts. We do not accept screenplays or works in progress at this time.
Selection
Films are selected by the Women’s Independent Cinema Film Advisory Board. In moving through this process, their commitment is to watch each movie with an appreciative and unbiased eye.
Distribution
Selected films will be incorporated onto a monthly disc and mailed to subscribers of the Women’s Independent Cinema. Each movie distribution is for that particular month. Subscribers who join after that month will have access to special order that months DVD and already distributed movies. The number of movies on each DVD disc may vary, depending on factors such as movie length.
Payment
Filmmakers receive payment for the one-month, non-exclusive rights to your movie.
Sales
Following the distribution of your movie on the Women’s Independent Cinema monthly disc, your particular movie will join The Women’s Independent Cinema™ E-store, where it will remain for sale for the remainder of the term of your contract with The Women’s Independent Cinema. Inventory will be the responsibility of the individual/persons under contract with Women’s Independent Cinema.
Promotion
Once a film is accepted, fil mmakers will be asked to submit bios and headshots for our website.
